Discover Duma Optronics’ laser beam profiler solutions — precision instruments for measuring beam size, shape, and M² across UV to IR wavelengths. Choose from camera-based, knife-edge, and high-power beam profiler models.

Duma Optronics offers a complete line of optical and mechanical alignment solutions, including advanced systems based on autocollimation and laser alignment.

The beam propagation factor (M²) is the most common single parameter used to characterize a laser beam as it propagates through space. According to ISO 11146, M² can be defined by several measurement techniques based on beam profiling at multiple points along the propagation path. These methods typically rely on cameras, knife-edges, or slits.

There are two primary measurement requirements:

  1. Focused beams

  2. Collimated beams

Our M² measurement systems are designed to handle both cases. Thanks to their modular design, interchangeable detector heads can be mounted on the same platform, enabling flexible operation for different laser types.

Built on Duma’s proprietary know-how in beam profiling and electro-optical integration, these devices provide high precision, repeatability, and adaptability — making them suitable for both research laboratories and mass-production environments.
