Excited to announce that my patent, titled ‘Beam Profiling Enhancement by Automatic Grayscale and Color Adjustment’ (Patent Number: 17488342), has been officially granted and will be published on April 24th. This patent introduces a method for enhancing laser beam profiling by magnifying weak signals that may not be clearly visible on a display screen, resulting in a high-resolution beam profile with measurable intensity information for each pixel.
The technique involves integrating pixel intensity information across the entire image to calculate total power. In high-resolution cameras, it’s common for displayed information to be difficult to discern. Our method addresses this by initially identifying the maximum level of the image using a histogram. Each pixel value is then divided by this maximum value, and the resulting image is displayed with colors corresponding to the percentage of power of each pixel relative to the maximum histogram level.
